Chargers End Slide With Sweep at Morton

The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team snapped a three-match skid with a 25-17, 25-11, 25-22 sweep at Morton on Friday afternoon.
Annie McKim (Yates City, Ill./homeschooled) had nine kills on just 13 attacks for the Chargers (5-5), who hit .313 for the match. Megan Crome (Marshall, Ill./Marshall) and Gracie Rademaker (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central) each put down six kills for Sandburg.
Jerzi Johnson (Monmouth, Ill./United) had three of the seven blocks on the day for the Chargers. Carley Reeves-Eakins (Branson, Mo./Reeds Spring) had four of Sandburg’s 10 aces, while Rademaker added three.
Setter Laney Chiaravalle (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) led Sandburg with 14 assists, and Carmyn Johnson (Lewistown, Ill./Lewistown) handed out 10.
